The year of YG
Are you working in the nuclear industry and under the age of 37? Then you have the opportunity to become part of Young Generation – a network where you can develop professionally, build valuable connections, and deepen your knowledge together with other young professionals in the industry.
The Young Generation year begins and concludes in February with seminars hosted at Westinghouse in Västerås. During these events, participants take part in inspiring lectures on current topics related to nuclear energy and technical visits, including a visit to the fuel fabrication plant. Since 2000, a mid-year seminar has also been arranged in the autumn, hosted each year by one of Young Generation’s member companies.
At the start of the programme, participants are divided into smaller groups. Throughout the year, these groups have the opportunity to explore a specific area within the nuclear industry in greater depth and plan and carry out their own technical visits. Their work is documented through regular written reports and presented at the final seminar, where participants share their insights and experiences from the year.
Young Generation offers a unique opportunity to build new networks, expand your expertise, and gain a deeper understanding of the nuclear industry – while becoming part of the next generation shaping the future of energy.
